Toured. This series was inspired by a trip to Upper Egypt and it's Colossi and it's temple architecture.

The sculptures developed out of the temple series…. Focusing first on the mystery of the “high altar” (above vision line) and later on the concept of a more revealed “domestic altar” (full view and table height). Eventually the “altars” were suspended losing the need for traditional under support. The “floating” slab of wood became the middle ground between the mysterious and the known.
